With the publication of eighth edition, this compendium 'Medical Emergencies in General Practice' has been in continued circulation for more than thirty years. The basic aim in all editions has been to provide a text which should impart contemporary knowledge in the management of common medical emergencies to the students of Medicine, both undergraduates and postgraduates, and also serve as a quick reference guide to busy family physicians in their struggle with critically ill patients.
